This is a monumental step for the country’s leading Greek yogurt brand, and we’re happy to see a major company offer a non-dairy line that you can find in your local grocery store (no more having to hunt it down in specialty stores!).
What separates Non-Dairy Chobani from other plant-based yogurt lines like those made by Stonyfield (which produces a soy-based yogurt) or Kite Hill (an almond-based yogurt) is that the Chobani recipe is made from something different: coconut.
What’s the big deal about coconut?
Coconut is not among one of the big eight food allergens, which includes milk, soy, and tree nuts, and several brands make yogurts that include at least one of these ingredients. Chobani’s new batch of products will be made from organic coconut puree.
Is this new dairy-free yogurt healthy?
Yes, absolutely. Chobani’s new yogurt line will have 25 percent less sugar than other non-dairy options, yet it will still be packed in gut-healthy probiotics. All of its ingredients will be natural and free of any trace of lactose or GMOs. Jadwal sepak bola indonesia.
“We have a belief: if we can’t make something better, we don’t make it at all,” Hamdi Ulukaya, the Founder and CEO of Chobani, said about the company’s latest product in a press release. “And for some time, we’ve felt that people deserve better non-dairy options. We’ve come up with something that’s much better than what’s out there—a new recipe that’s absolutely delicious, but also meets our food philosophy of being nutritious, made with only natural ingredients and at a price that’s accessible to all. Most importantly, this isn’t a replacement to dairy, but it’s a game-changer for plant-based products.”
